Simcha in Belz

First Son Born to Rav Shalom Rokeach After Six Daughters

A tremendous simcha is being celebrated throughout the Belzer chassidus following the birth of a baby boy to Rav Shalom Rokeach, the eldest grandson of the Belzer Rebbe, after the family was previously blessed with six daughters, bli ayin hara.

The newborn is a great-grandson of the Belzer Rebbe, a grandson of his son Rav Aharon Mordechai Rokeach, and the first son of Rav Shalom Rokeach.

The joyous news has generated particular excitement among Belzer chassidim because the birth took place on the yahrtzeit of the Mahari”d of Belz, one of the illustrious predecessors in the Belzer dynasty.

Chassidim have noted the significance of the timing, viewing the arrival of a new male descendant in the direct line of the Belzer dynasty on this auspicious day as an extraordinary expression of hashgacha pratis.

The shalom zachor is scheduled to take place this Friday night in Kiryat Belz, with thousands of chassidim expected to participate in the celebration.
