Who Will Foot the Bill? Israel Faces $10 Billion in Unfunded U.S. Arms Orders
Israel could be left with approximately $10 billion in unfunded American weapons orders after its current U.S. military aid agreement expires in 2028, according to a Wall Street Journal report citing a U.S. State Department document.

President Donald Trump has reportedly announced plans to end the annual $3.8 billion military assistance program as early as the end of 2026.
The outstanding costs could be covered by Israel's own defense budget, additional U.S. funding or a combination of both.
Congress is also reportedly considering replacing direct military assistance with expanded defense cooperation and joint weapons production.
