Op-Ed: If You Thought Your Vote Doesn’t Make a Difference , Check This Out | Booky Kaluszyner

If you ever wondered whether your vote really matters, take a look at the mayoral election in South Toms River.

873 votes were cast, and both candidates received exactly 435 votes each. A DEAD TIE!

Think about that. Just ONE additional vote could have made the difference.

We spend so much time talking about politics, complaining about taxes, and debating who’s running our towns. But when Election Day comes around, too many people stay home thinking their vote won’t matter.

This is why showing up matters. This is why local elections matter. And this is why YOUR vote matters.

The decisions made at the local level affect our property taxes, our neighborhoods, our roads, our schools, and the future of our communities.

You don’t get to assume someone else will show up and make your voice heard for you.

Don’t sit on the sidelines and let a handful of people make decisions for an entire community.

Your voice matters. Your vote matters. And as South Toms River just demonstrated, ONE VOTE CAN MAKE ALL THE DIFFERENCE.

Don’t just talk about change. SHOW UP AND VOTE!
