UK: Police have arrested 25 protesters outside the Supreme Court in London today as judges began hearing a legal challenge to the government’s ban on Palestine Action.
The group’s co-founder is seeking to overturn its designation as a terrorist organisation, arguing that the ban disproportionately restricts freedom of expression and protest.
Lawyers representing the Community Security Trust and Jewish Leadership Council warned that lifting the ban could encourage further antisemitic violence, citing attacks on Jewish charities and Jewish-owned businesses.
The hearing is scheduled to continue tomorrow, with a ruling expected at a later date.
