Major Shake-Up in Israeli Aviation!
Israir, controlled by billionaire Rami Levy, is exploring a takeover of rival Arkia, with initial discussions already underway.

Arkia reportedly lost around $30 million in the first nine months of 2026, with full-year losses potentially reaching $50โ60 million.
A takeover would give Israir access to Arkiaโs valuable Ben Gurion Airport slots, aircraft, employees and international routes, potentially making it Israelโs dominant private airline.
However, Arkiaโs employee-shareholder dispute and the Israeli Competition Authorityโs approval could complicate the deal. No agreement has been signed!
