Aerial Footage Shows Ongoing Flooding Across Brevard Including At Valkaria Airport
Flooding continues across Brevard County a day after extreme rainfall, with impacts still clearly visible from the air.
Helicopter footage from WESH’s Chopper 2 shows standing water remaining in many areas, including flooding at Valkaria Airport in Grant-Valkaria.
Parts of southern Brevard, including Palm Bay, Malabar and Grant-Valkaria, saw 20 inches or more of rain in roughly two days. Officials have called it a 1,000-year event in some spots.
Schools stayed closed Tuesday as water levels slowly recede. Residents are still urged to avoid flooded roads.
