NTSB board member Tom Chapman confirms that parts of the Learjet that crashed in Florida and killed all nine people onboard were found nearly four miles away from the crash site.
Chapman says that, even if the plane stayed intact, it's unlikely those parts would have been "effective" given the speed at which it was descending.
The NTSB official adds the evidence found on the ground away from the crash site will help investigators in determining exactly what caused the fatal incident.
