US Military Airlift Heading to Israel
Earlier today, at least six US Air Force C-17A Globemaster III heavy-lift aircraft departed from Biggs Army Airfield at Fort Bliss, Texas, heading toward Ovda Air Base in southern Israel.
The aircraft are reportedly transporting significant air-defense equipment, in what appears to be a second wave of US military airlift operations to Israel.
The latest flights follow eight C-17 movements reported last week, potentially bringing the total to 16 aircraft.
The operation could involve additional Patriot air-defense systems, although the deployment of a complete battery has not been officially confirmed.
