Palm Bay Issues Shelter-In-Place Advisory As Flooding Delays Water Main Repairs
Palm Bay officials are urging residents to stay home and off the roads as significant flooding continues across the city.
A water main break along Port Malabar Boulevard NE has temporarily shut off service for customers in the affected area.
Palm Bay Utilities crews cannot reach the site to begin repairs because of the severe flooding and unsafe conditions. Water will stay off until they can safely access the break and finish the work.
Once service is restored, affected customers will be placed under a precautionary boil water notice.
Officials are also asking everyone to conserve water while the heavy rain continues.
