Donalds: If You Don’t Know Cuba Is A Communist Dictatorship, You Don’t Belong In The Senate
Florida gubernatorial candidate Byron Donalds made the comment during a rapid-fire interview with Bret Baier on Special Report.
“If you don’t know that Cuba is under a communist dictatorship, then you don’t have what it takes to serve in the United States Senate,” Donalds said.
“We want to see a free Cuba. I want to see a liberated Cuba. I want the Castro regime to fall.”
The Naples congressman, who is facing Democrat David Jolly in Tuesday’s governor’s race, has repeatedly criticized Democratic Senate candidate Angie Nixon for her answers on the same topic. Nixon has faced pushback from Cuban-American voters in South Florida after declining to clearly label the Castro regime a dictatorship.
