Sadiq Khan marked the start of Islamophobia Awareness Month by saying religious hate crimes targeting Muslims rose by 15 per cent across England and Wales in the past year

The Mayor of London called the hatred and discrimination Muslims faced 'utterly unacceptable'. He said London would always stand against hatred, prejudice and discrimination in his statement on Sunday.
