Yisrael Beytenu has demanded that outgoing Knesset Speaker Amir Ohana hold the vote for a new speaker at the very first session of the new Knesset on Tuesday, instead of pushing it off. The demand came after a meeting of faction heads from Yisrael Beytenu, Yashar, Beyachad and the Democrats. The Joint List separately said it would also call for an urgent vote on the speakership.
