A sharp confrontation erupted between National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir and Police Commissioner Danny Levy after Ben-Gvir accused Levy of ordering excessive violence against Chareidi protesters, allegedly saying, “I want to see blood.” Israel Police strongly denied the allegations, calling them “baseless, outrageous and shameful.”
Ben-Gvir stood by his accusations, claiming Levy personally ordered officers to use batons against Chareidi protesters, unlawfully reassigned commanders and traveled abroad without his approval. Police officials demanded that Ben-Gvir retract his accusations immediately.
