Horrifying Video Shows Massive Crater After Florida Jet Crash Kills 9

GREENACRES, Fla. (VINnews) — Dramatic video showing a massive crater, burning wreckage and a towering fireball has emerged following Sunday’s deadly Learjet 60 crash in South Florida, which killed all nine people aboard.
The aircraft crashed near Military Trail and 10th Avenue North in Greenacres, Palm Beach County, shortly before 1 p.m. after departing Austin, Texas, en route to North Eleuthera in the Bahamas. https://vinnews.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/11/aFABgo2TBI96OTKH.mp4 The impact tore into the roadway, leaving a large crater and scattering debris across the area. Video captured the fiery aftermath, with emergency crews responding as flames and smoke rose from the wreckage.
In radio communications shortly before the crash, the pilot reported accumulating ice on the aircraft and moderate turbulence. The pilot later issued a Mayday call as the jet entered a rapid descent.
Flight-tracking data cited by CNN indicated that the aircraft lost approximately 27,000 feet in about one minute. The pilot warned air traffic controllers, “We’re going to crash into the ground.”
All nine people aboard were killed, Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy confirmed. Their identities had not immediately been released.
Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis described the crash as cataclysmic. Authorities also evacuated approximately 600 residents from a nearby mobile-home community as emergency crews secured the scene.
The FAA and National Transportation Safety Board are investigating the crash. Investigators are expected to examine the reported icing conditions, weather, aircraft systems and flight data. No cause has been determined.
