Rockland County Sheriff Louis Falco announced the arrest of a 25-year-old Stony Point man following an investigation into alleged ballot fraud

Rockland County Sheriff Louis Falco announced the arrest of a 25-year-old Stony Point man following an investigation into alleged ballot fraud during the June 23, 2026, Republican County Committee primary election.

Aidan Rowan, a member of the Stony Point Republican County Committee who was a candidate in the primary, was arrested after investigators received a complaint from the Rockland County Board of Elections alleging that a voter’s ballot may have been cast without their knowledge.

The investigation led to multiple felony charges against Rowan, including forgery, criminal possession of a forged instrument, tampering with public records, offering a false instrument for filing, and making an apparently sworn false statement.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, investigators found no evidence that any other individual, candidate, campaign, or elected official was involved in the alleged fraud.

Sheriff Falco emphasized that the investigation was conducted independently and without political influence, stating, “We followed the evidence where it led.”

Rowan surrendered to authorities on Wednesday, November 4, and was arraigned in Clarkstown Justice Court before being released on his own recognizance pending a future court date.
