Arkia Owners Plan Major Capital Injection Ahead of Potential Sale

The Nakash brothers, owners of Arkia, are planning to inject additional funds into the airline as part of efforts to stabilize its financial situation.

The move would dilute the shares held by Arkia employees, who currently own approximately 17% of the airline.

Arkia has been on the market for nearly two years, with its owners actively seeking a potential buyer.

Earlier this year, Brooklyn-based investor Ezra Unger reportedly explored acquiring Arkia but backed away after the airline was unwilling to commit to stopping flights on Shabbas.

A board meeting scheduled for Wednesday is expected to outline the planned investment and its size.
