Drivers traveling on the Palisades Interstate Parkway should expect daytime closures this week

Southbound Palisades Parkway to Close Daily for Maintenance Work This Week

Drivers traveling on the Palisades Interstate Parkway should expect daytime closures this week, as the southbound lanes will be closed between Long Mountain Circle and Exit 18 (U.S. Route 6) in the Town of Highlands.

The closure will be in effect daily from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., beginning Tuesday, November 3, through Friday, November 6, weather permitting.

The closure is needed to allow maintenance work to be carried out. Drivers will be directed to follow the posted detour.

Drivers are also reminded to slow down in work zones, where speeding fines are doubled.
