Florida Voters Approve Amendment 3 To Slash And Eventually Abolish

Voters passed Amendment 3 with roughly 62% of the vote, clearing the way to raise the homestead exemption and phase out property taxes on primary residences. The change is now written into the state constitution.

Governor Ron DeSantis made this his top priority. The measure gives Florida a clear path toward eliminating the tax entirely for people living in their own homes.
