Israel and U.S. Planning New Joint Military Airbase
Joint Israeli and American teams have begun planning a new military aviation facility in Israel that would permanently accommodate U.S. aircraft alongside Israeli aircraft.
The facility would provide additional capacity, as American aircraft cannot remain permanently at Ben Gurion Airport or existing Israeli Air Force bases.
Planning is still in its early stages, with no construction underway yet.
As previously reported in March, Israel had proposed relocating American bases from across the Middle East to Israel.
