Verizon Network Work May Cause Service Disruptions in Williamsburg

Verizon customers in Williamsburg may notice temporary interruptions to their phone service or home internet as the company carries out network upgrades in the area over the coming week.

The work affects the 11211 ZIP code. Verizon says the schedule could be pushed back by up to two weeks in some cases.

The announcement comes as Williamsburg residents have previously raised concerns about unreliable Verizon service, including reports of dropped calls and disrupted mobile data connections near Bedford Avenue and Lynch Street.

Verizon says the upgrades are intended to improve service reliability and network performance once completed.
