A historic and uplifting maamad took place on Sunday afternoon in Airmont, as hundreds gathered for the grand Hanochas Even HaPinah celebrating the construction of two brand-new buildings for Mosdos Munkatch in Monsey, in the presence of the Munkatcher Rebbe, Shlita, who traveled from Boro Park to participate in the momentous occasion.
The special maamad, held at 52 Campbell Avenue in Airmont, marked a major milestone in the continued growth and expansion of Mosdos Munkatch, with plans for a magnificent new Yeshiva building on Campbell Avenue and a new Cheder building on South DeBaun Avenue.
The event brought together rabbonim, roshei yeshiva, the hanhala of the mosdos, parents, supporters, and members of the Munkatcher Kehilla, who gathered to celebrate this significant step forward in the future of the mosdos.
Ahead of the official program, talmidim from the Munkatcher Cheder, together with their rebbi, Rabbi Aryeh Blum, filled the atmosphere with beautiful singing, adding to the excitement and simcha of the historic day.
A highlight of the maamad was the arrival of the Munkatcher Rebbe, Shlita, who was warmly welcomed by the assembled crowd. The Rebbe delivered Divrei Bracha in honor of the occasion, emphasizing the significance of the special milestone.
The emotional highlight came as the Munkatcher Rebbe, Shlita, personally poured the Even HaPinah, formally marking the beginning of this new chapter for the mosdos. The moment was followed by lively music and spirited dancing, as those gathered celebrated the tremendous simcha.
Among the dignitaries in attendance was New York State Senator Bill Weber, accompanied by his Deputy Chief of Staff and Communications Director, Mordy Becker. Both received brachos from the Munkatcher Rebbe, Shlita, and Rabbi Mordechai Steiner during the event.
The entire maamad was professionally produced and coordinated by Shlome Hiller Productions, bringing together an impressive program befitting the historic occasion and creating a memorable experience for the hundreds of participants.
The two major building projects represent a tremendous achievement for Mosdos Munkatch, providing expanded facilities to accommodate the growing number of talmidim and further strengthening the mosdos’ commitment to Torah and chinuch.
The new Yeshiva and Cheder buildings will help ensure that future generations of talmidim can continue receiving their chinuch in an environment rooted in the rich mesorah and derech of Munkatch.
The historic Hanochas Even HaPinah was a testament to the dedication and mesiras nefesh of the hanhala, askanim, and generous supporters who have worked tirelessly toward the realization of these ambitious projects.
