Haverstraw Town Supervisor Howard Phillips Secures Another Term in Office
Town of Haverstraw Supervisor Howard Phillips Jr. has secured another two-year term following the November 3 general election, running unopposed and continuing his leadership of the town.
Phillips, who appeared on both the Democratic and Conservative Party ballot lines, will continue overseeing municipal operations, town finances, infrastructure projects, and government services throughout Haverstraw, including communities such as Garnerville, Thiells, and surrounding areas.
Phillips has served as Town Supervisor for many years, working alongside the Town Board and local officials on public safety, infrastructure improvements, economic development, and issues affecting residents throughout the community.
Also securing new terms were Town Clerk Raquel Ventura and Highway Superintendent John Bart Gordon, both of whom ran unopposed on the Democratic and Conservative Party lines.
Ventura will continue overseeing official municipal records, licensing, and administrative services, while Gordon will remain responsible for the town’s highway operations, including road maintenance, snow removal, and infrastructure improvements.
All three officials will begin their new two-year terms in January 2027.
