Update - Bennett Pledges Full Support for Eisenkot, Urges Swift Formation of New Government

Former Israeli Prime Minister and Beyachad party chairman Naftali Bennett said Tuesday, following a meeting of opposition bloc leaders that there is “no time to waste” in forming a new government. Bennett called for urgently securing control of the Knesset leadership and the mandate to form a government, aiming to establish what he described as a “Zionist government of national renewal.” He pledged that his entire party would fully mobilize to help Gadi Eisenkot form a government as quickly as possible and begin repairing the country.
