Europe: Authorities have confirmed that the bomb threats affecting passenger flights across Europe today were false alarms, with no explosives discovered.
Seven flights were reportedly affected, including services from London Heathrow, Manchester and Copenhagen. Aircraft were inspected at airports in Poland, Spain, Italy and Bulgaria, causing disruption to flights and airport operations.
Bulgarian authorities have also clarified that the flights involved in the incidents at Sofia Airport originated from Bergamo and Dublin, rather than Tel Aviv, as initially reported.
