Osceola Deputy Uses Duct Tape To Catch Alligator Outside Kissimmee Plaza
An Osceola County deputy grabbed a wandering alligator with his bare hands outside a busy Kissimmee plaza on Halloween, taped its snout shut, and loaded it into the back of his patrol car.
Deputy Nicholas Pippin responded to the parking lot at 57 Blake Boulevard near Celebration Hardware after the gator showed up from a nearby pond. Tourists stopped to watch and take pictures as he secured the roughly 40-pound reptile.
Pippin has prior alligator experience.
He drove the animal to Lake Cecile and released it safely back into the water. The sheriff’s office later said the visitors “came for the attractions” and got “the full Florida experience.”
Just another day in Central Florida.
