TURKEY’S PARLIAMENT ADVANCES DEFENSE PACT WITH SAUDI ARABIA AND PAKISTAN— Turkey’s Parliament has advanced the Mecca Joint Defence Agreement, with reports claiming the ratification bill passed by 279 votes to 119. The pact treats an armed attack on any of the three countries as an attack on all, strengthening military cooperation as Saudi Arabia faces continued Houthi attacks. Turkish troop deployments would still require separate parliamentary approval.
