UPDATE: Pedestrian Struck by Truck in Lakewood, Seriously Injured [PHOTO]

A pedestrian was struck by a truck and seriously injured in Lakewood this morning, police say.

The incident happened shortly after 9:00 AM at the intersection of Locust Street and Vermont Avenue.

The woman was treated on scene and then transported by Hatzolah paramedics to Jersey Shore University Medical Center.

Police tell TLS the woman was in stable condition when she was transported.

An investigation is underway by the Lakewood Police Departmentโ€™s Traffic Safety Unit.
