ISRAEL CONSIDERS BUYING LOW-COST CRUISE MISSILES โ Israel is reportedly considering a deal worth hundreds of millions of shekels to purchase inexpensive cruise missiles from U.S.-Israeli defense startup Covenant Technologies. Defense Ministry Director General Amir Baram reportedly visited the company last week as Israel seeks to expand domestic weapons production, reduce reliance on foreign suppliers, and build larger missile stockpiles for prolonged conflicts. The move aligns with Prime Minister Netanyahuโs โSuper Spartaโ strategy of greater military self-reliance. Covenantโs Anthem cruise missile is designed for low-cost mass production, offering an alternative to expensive systems such as the U.S. Tomahawk.
