Surgeons at Hadassah Ein Kerem Medical Center in Jerusalem have performed Israel’s first spinal correction surgery using Medtronic’s Stealth AXiS robotic system, marking one of the technology’s early uses worldwide. Led by Dr. Joshua Schroeder, the five-hour procedure corrected severe scoliosis in an 18-year-old woman using AI-assisted surgical planning and precision navigation. According to Hadassah, less than a week after surgery, the patient was pain-free, walking upright, and discharged home. The hospital announced the milestone on October 27, highlighting a major advancement in Israeli medical technology.
