NEW AUDIO REVEALS FINAL MOMENTS BEFORE FLORIDA JET CRASH KILLED NINE — Air traffic control recordings capture the terrifying final moments of a Learjet 60 that crashed into a Florida neighborhood Sunday, killing all nine people aboard. The pilot reported icing, turbulence and worsening weather before shouting “Mayday, mayday” as the aircraft plunged at more than 20,000 feet per minute. The controller responded, “I’m here with you. Talk to me,” shortly after the pilot warned, “We’re going to crash into the ground.” The jet was traveling from Austin, Texas, to the Bahamas. Federal investigators are working to determine the cause of the crash.
