Russian President Vladimir Putin hosted Iranian Supreme National Security Council secretary Mohsen Rezaei at the Kremlin on Thursday, underscoring how closely Moscow and Tehran are coordinating during the war with the United States. The visit follows a phone call earlier this week and Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov's October trip to Tehran. Russia has not directly joined the nearly eight-month war, but questions remain about the military and intelligence help it may be quietly providing Iran.
