American Teen Discovers 3,300-Year-Old Amulet in Israel

Shiloh Attoun, a 17-year-old American high school student, discovered a rare 3,300-year-old Egyptian-style amulet during a school trip to Tel Gezer National Park in Israel, just two days after arriving in the country. Attoun reported the discovery to the Israel Antiquities Authority, which added the artifact to Israel’s National Treasures collection and awarded him a certificate of appreciation.
