Father Of Boca Co-Pilot Killed In Palm Beach Jet Crash Calls Her His Soulmate
The father of 20-year-old co-pilot Nathalia Filgueiras spoke out Friday about losing his daughter in the Learjet crash that killed nine people near Greenacres on Sunday.
Allan Filgueiras called her gifted and his soulmate. He said she fought until the very last minute.
Nathalia grew up in Palm Beach County, trained at the Academy of Aviation and Aerospace at West Boca Raton High School, and earned her pilot’s license at 17. Flying was her dream since she was a child.
The Learjet 60 was traveling from Austin to the Bahamas when it plunged into Military Trail near Cresthaven Boulevard during stormy weather. All nine people on board were killed, including a family with two young children.
The NTSB is investigating. Parts of the plane were found nearly four miles from the impact site.
