Six individuals were arrested and charged with DWI and related offenses over the weekend, as Lakewood Police continue their crackdown on impaired driving.
Chief Gregory Meyer praised the patrol officers for their efforts, saying their proactive enforcement helps identify impaired drivers and prevent serious crashes.
“Our patrol officers do an outstanding job every day protecting this community,” Meyer said. “Their proactive enforcement and commitment to identifying impaired drivers help prevent tragedies before they happen. These arrests are a direct reflection of their hard work and dedication.”
Great job, u need to do this every weekend. Do not wait for accidents to happen. We do not want people getting hurt. Actually it is easier and less time consuming to prevent the accident from happening.
Just don’t announce a dui checkpoint ahead of time so people will avoid it.
Impaired driving happens day and night in this town. They need to keep at it.
TY LPD, and we hope people get the message to not drive impaired.
