Israeli Shekel Weakens Amid Post-Election Uncertainty

The Israeli shekel continued weakening Tuesday, as the U.S. dollar climbed to approximately 3.16 shekels, its highest level since March. The dollar has surged roughly 4.5% from its election-day low on October 27, while the euro rose to around 3.54 shekels. Analysts attribute the decline to political uncertainty over forming a new Israeli government, regional security tensions, and weakness in global markets.
