Staten Island Election Results: Island Stays Red as State Goes Blue
A day after Election Day, the results are in. While Democrats won big across the country and the state, Staten Island stayed red.

Rep. Nicole Malliotakis won a fourth term in Congress, beating Democrat Michael DeCillis with about 56% of the vote. Gov. Kathy Hochul won statewide, but on Staten Island, her Republican opponent Blakeman got more votes. The same happened with Attorney General Letitia James and Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli, who both won statewide but lost on the Island.
All six Staten Island lawmakers in Albany are going back. State Sen. Andrew Lanza and State Sen. Jessica Scarcella-Spanton both won again. In the Assembly, Sam Pirozzolo won a close rematch in the Mid-Island with 51%, Michael Tannousis won with 61%, Charles Fall won on the North Shore, and Michael Reilly ran unopposed on the South Shore.
All five city ballot proposals passed, but Staten Island was the only borough where most voters said no to all five.
