London Police Chief Warns of Rising Antisemitic Hate Crime

Metropolitan Police Commissioner Sir Mark Rowley says hate crimes against communities have risen in recent years, with London's Jewish community facing some of the highest levels per capita. The British government has allocated £85.8 million to the Metropolitan Police to fund approximately 300 additional officers to strengthen security in Jewish neighborhoods, synagogues and schools. The funding is part of a three-year nationwide initiative announced in July to combat antisemitism and protect Jewish communities.
