Harav Dov Landau shlit"a and Gedolei Yisroel were welcomed by thousands on London's Princes Park Avenue for Keren Olam HaTorah's Maamad Kabolas Panim, where the Rosh Yeshiva delivered an urgent appeal to "save the Torah of Eretz Yisroel" at the start of a historic European mission.
Harav Dov Landau shlit"a departed this morning for Keren Olam HaTorah's historic European mission, carrying the achrayus of sustaining the yeshivos, kollelim, and lomdei Torah of Eretz Yisroel, and landed in London to an extraordinary welcome.
Thousands of Yidden lined Princes Park Avenue ahead of the Maamad Kabolas Panim, with a red carpet stretching through the crowds toward a decorated dais and police and security on hand. As Keren Olam HaTorah's European mission got underway, London gathered in a magnificent display of achdus and ahavas Torah, welcoming the Gedolim and standing behind the yeshivos, kollelim, and lomdei Torah of Eretz Yisroel.
At the Maamad, the Rosh Yeshiva delivered an urgent appeal and a powerful message about the next generation: Torah is eternal, and every Yid has the privilege and obligation to connect to it through learning, honoring Torah, and living by it. "When children see that what their father honors most is Torah, it enters their hearts forever," he said, concluding with a tefillah that the Torah remain with us and our descendants for eternity, and that we merit the geulah sheleimah bimheirah b'yameinu.
Harav Yaakov Hillel shlit"a also addressed the massive Kabbalas Panim, welcoming the Gedolei Yisroel to England for the latest leg of their historic mission to save Torah in Eretz Yisroel.
The visit is aimed at raising resources and strengthening Keren Olam HaTorah, which supports yeshivos and kollelim in Eretz Yisroel amid mounting financial and systemic challenges. During his short stay, the Rosh Yeshiva is expected to meet with community philanthropists and attend special gatherings and welcome events.
