25 Injured in Chemical Exposure Incident at Jerusalem School
Twenty-five people were injured following exposure to cleaning chemicals at an educational institution in Jerusalem.
A 10-year-old boy suffered moderate injuries, including breathing difficulties, while 24 others were lightly injured.
According to an initial Fire and Rescue Services investigation, cleaning products triggered a chemical reaction.
Students and staff were evacuated, and the school was ordered closed until tomorrow for further inspections. Subsequent monitoring detected no dangerous chemical levels.
The injured were treated by Magen David Adom and evacuated to Shaare Zedek and Hadassah Mount Scopus hospitals.
