Ra’am Chairman Mansour Abbas recommended Gadi Eisenkot to President Herzog to form the next government
Ra’am Chairman Mansour Abbas recommended Gadi Eisenkot to President Herzog to form the next government, calling for a broad coalition that could also include Chareidi parties.
During the meeting, Herzog repeatedly pressed Abbas to explicitly condemn Hamas as a terrorist organization, but Abbas refused to use the term, despite supporting its disarmament. When questioned about his refusal, Abbas said he needed room to protect his family and serve as a bridge, adding that the issue was, in some respects, a matter of “pikuach nefesh.”
