My kids have been wanting to go to Niagara Falls for ages, and this Sukkos was the perfect weather. We did a one day trip so we wouldnโ€™t have an issue with sleeping in a Sukka..

We left early in the morning and arrived at Niagara around 2:30pm โ€“ we only stopped for bathrooms and to give the kids lunch.

We parked on the NY side of Niagara and walked around the beautiful park there for a while, just enjoying the views. Our tickets for Maid of the Mist were pre-bought online โ€“ you do not need to commit to a time, so it was perfect for us.

The Maid of the Mist was AMAZING! This was the only paid activity that we did and it was worth every second. Every single one of us enjoyed it โ€“ down to my 5 year old. She literally didnโ€™t want it to end!

After Maid of the Mist, we hung around the National Park for a little longer. The Canadian side doesnโ€™t really have a park/place to just hang out easily, so we enjoyed it in NY before walking over the Rainbow Bridge to Canada.

Walking to Canada was great! The views are spectacular the whole way and there is ample opportunity to stop and enjoy the sights. We loved watching people ziplining by the Falls โ€“ rather watch than be on the zipline!

It took our family around 1 hour to walk from NY to Chabad Niagara where we planned to get dinner.

So much gratitude to Chabad for everything they do! It was fun over there, but an absolute circus with trying to get food. I had regretted not ordering before Yom Tov, until I heard the vendors turning away people who had pre-ordered because they had run out of food! Also, getting a table inside the Sukka was definitely an adventureโ€ฆ It is also a little confusing with the payment; you need to first pay for a โ€˜food voucherโ€™ and then use that to get food. A lot of people didnโ€™t know and ended up waiting on lines for an hour for nothing.

Finally, after standing on super long lines, got enough food for everyone so that we werenโ€™t starving (again, the vendors had run out of a lot of items by the time we were there around 5:30/6:00).

The Simchas Beis Hashoeva was a lot of fun, different family members met random friends and good time was had by all ๐Ÿ™‚

The way back to our car in NY took around 40 minutes and we did not hear one complaint, even from the little kids! The Falls were stunning on the way back โ€“ all lit up and colorful/changing colors.

The best cap on the trip was getting back to the NY side right before 10pm and just on time to watch the fireworks over the Falls at 10.

We got back in the car and drove straight home (Monsey area) โ€“ was amazing, no stops as everyone was sleeping ๐Ÿ™‚

All in all, we had a great time! Was a perfect amount of time to spend at the Falls; Iโ€™m not sure what we would have done if we had been there for much longer.

We came, we saw and experienced Hashemโ€™s beautiful creation, and we left!

Try to figure out a different food situation.
