Jordanian Security Officer Killed in Terrorist Stabbing Attack in Amman
A Jordanian security officer was killed and another wounded in a terrorist stabbing attack near the Sri Lankan Embassy in Amman on Thursday.
Jordanian authorities identified the slain officer as Corporal Jawad Ali Khalaf Salayta.
The attacker was arrested after a confrontation with security personnel. The wounded officer is reportedly in stable condition.
Jordan's Public Security Directorate said preliminary findings indicated that the attack had been planned against security personnel.
