JetBlue has raised its checked baggage fees for the second time this year
Most economy passengers will now pay at least $50 each way for a first checked bag, up from $39, on flights within the U.S., Canada, Latin America and the Caribbean. Peak-period fees can reach $70 for a first bag. The airline blamed rising fuel and operating costs, while noting that eligible credit card holders and certain loyalty program members can still check bags free.
