Owners of The Hive Discount Purchase Walmart-Anchored Shopping Center in Airmont

The owners behind The Hive Discount along with Evergreen Kosher Market in Monsey and Pomona, have purchased the Ramapo Shopping Center at 250 Route 59 in Airmont, a major commercial property anchored by Walmart and home to several additional businesses.

The acquisition places the shopping center under the ownership of the local business group that operates the three supermarkets, marking a significant real estate investment along one of Rockland County’s busiest commercial corridors.

Despite the change in ownership, all existing businesses will remain in place, with no changes to their operations planned. Walmart will continue operating at its longtime location under a lease agreement with the new property owners, while The Hive Discount and the center’s other tenants will also remain at their current locations.

The approximately 165,600-square-foot shopping center is situated along Route 59 near Exit 14A of the New York State Thruway and features a large parking area serving Walmart, The Hive, and several neighboring retail establishments.

The purchase represents an expansion of the owners’ local real estate holdings beyond their supermarket operations. While the property itself is changing hands, the transition is expected to have no immediate impact on customers or the businesses operating there.

For local shoppers, the message is simple: Walmart, The Hive, and the surrounding businesses are staying exactly where they are.
